Currently, I live in an apartment with my husband and sister. We moved in together while we're going to the same college. There's enough room for us and I certainly like living here, but it got me to thinking what to do when it comes time to have children.
My parents' house is big--five bedrooms, three and a half bathrooms, and a huge backyard. They live in a nice neighborhood outside of their city with plenty of space between houses. When I moved into our apartment, I didn't realize quite how much noise there would be. The walls here aren't paper thin, but with it being a college town and all, there's plenty of partying going on fairly regularly, plus the usual noise that comes with living in the middle of a city.
Is it better to raise a family in a regular house or an apartment? Does it even matter? What kind of home do you live in?

I live in an apartment and yes the noise from neighbors sometimes can be a disturbance especially on weekends but it's not really that bad our neighbors are friendly actually. For me it doesn't matter as long your environment is safe, your neighbors are good and tht youre happy with where you live.

I live in a regular. In my opinion, a regular house is better in raising children because you will have more space and they will have their own rooms and a garden would be a plus that way you can have pet dogs too if you like

Living in an apartment also has it's advantages like you have a smaller area to maintain and clean also the neighbors are very near you just open your door and you see your neighbor's door at the other side. I live in one and I have no complains Im friends with most of my neighbors

I lived in an apartment all my life . Now my husband has fulfilled my dream - we bought a piece of land and now we are building our house. I believe that a private house is a great solution for a family. I dream of 3 bedrooms, a large kitchen and a spacious living room. I want a big backyard and to do gardening there. I want our future home to be safe for life. I know that you need to install a security system and fire alarm. I found information about lightning conductors www.streamer-electric.com/ , I think whether is it necessary to install it? Who has his own house, you installed a lightning rod?
